TOPAS
Basic information:
The
sewage treatment plants Topas is serving communities between 5 and 300
persons equivalent and they are designed to treat all wastewaters
(including wastewaters from washing-machines and washers) from
individual pollution sources such as single houses, group of houses,
small workrooms, restaurants, hotels, guest-houses. For design of the
STP Topas a long wastewater treatment experiences have been utilized.
Therefore the quality of the outflow water meets the EU and Romanians
Regulations.
Technical design of the sewage treatment plants Topas is protected by the international patent no 282411.
Description of operation:
The
sewage treatment plants Topas are produced in single - tank design
(except of Topas 100, 125, 200, 250 and 300 which consist of two or
more tanks) made of polypropylene material which ensures long term
lifetime of the product. The sewage treatment plants Topas work on
principle of wastewaters treatment with using of activated sludge. Air
which is necessary for life of microorganism is supplied by small
diaphragm blowers with silent operation. The blowers are installed
inside the plant. The blowers are also used for air pumps drive which
repump wastewaters among the chambers of the STP. The operation of the
STP Topas is flexible with adaptation to variable load without any
demand on maintenance.
Types of the sewage treatment plants Topas:
- Basic Type: efficiency of treatment more than 95%. Treated water can be drainaged to surface water.
- With Sand Filter : efficiency of treatment more than 98%. Treated water can be drainaged to surface or ground water. It is also possible to use treated water for irrigation.

With Membrane Filtration : treated water is completely mechanically
clean and free of bacteria. In respect of high efficiency of treatment
it is possible to use treated water back in the house as a service
water.
